Nebulizer is a device that can be inhaled by sound waves (ultrasonic nebulizer) or compressed air (jet nebulizer) to vaporize liquid drugs.
It is possible to apply asthma drugs effectively in patients with nebulizer, in patients who cannot adapt to metered-dose inhalers and in patients with severe asthma.There are special forms of medication prepared for use with the nebulizer. These are called Nebul.
Bronchodilator and corticosteroid drugs are available. Nebulization is one of the three common methods used to take respiratory drugs. Other methods of taking respiratory medication are Pressure Metering Dose Respiration and Dry Dust Respiration. Nebulizers cannot be controlled by neither the Dosage Respiration nor the Dry Powder Respiration, and also when they need a large dose of medication. The advantage of nebulization is that the drug can be easily inhaled by means of a mask or mouthpiece without the need for deep breathing while continuing to be given a large dose of drug. They are frequently treated with medicines such as Bronchodilators, Steroids, Sodium Chromoglicat, Antibiotics and Salt. Nebulizers work by converting therapeutic solutions into a fine aerosol vapor for respiration into the respiratory tract. Two types of nebulizer are available: Nebulizers with Compressors and Ultrasonic Nebulizers.
The aim of the treatment of nebulizer is to deliver the therapeutic dose of a drug to the lungs as soon as possible, usually within 5-10 minutes, as an aerosol in the form of respirable particles. An optimum nebulizer system should have a high drug output, a short nebulization time, small droplets 1. Nebulizers are used for diagnosis and treatment.
APPLICATION:
1)The power cord of the device plugs into an earthed outlet.
2)The patient and his relatives are told about the procedure.
3)Nebul set is attached to the device.
4)The drug is poured into the container, distilled water is added according to the doctor’s request.
5)Switching on / off switch.
6)Perfect steam output is visually inspected.
7)Apply with face mask or mouthpiece.
8)Insert the device when the medicated steam output stops.
9)The device is re-used in accordance with the Sterilization and Disinfection Instruction and is released.
